Is Independence day the most popular holiday amongst Americans?
Independence day is on the fourth of July and it's a federal holiday.
It commemorates the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4 1776. On July 4 1776 the country declared its independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain.
To me, this sounds like the most popular American holiday.
I could be wrong though!
Let's find out!

Research:
There's a website where you can pick the most popular holiday.
There's a list that includes the Independence Day, but that holiday is not the number one American holiday.
The number one holiday is: Christmas!
I love Christmas, but I didn't expect the Americans to love it that much! Independence Day looks more intense when it comes down to it with the beautiful and big firework displays that go off on that holiday around the US.
Conclusion: Christmas is the most popular holiday!
